Remains | Traces of minor surface workings on hillside due north of and in-line with the Foel Wen workings. |
The location of this mine is uncertain but it could be the workings which form a northern continuation to Foel Wen mine. Output would have been via the track which runs westwards down the ridge of Mynydd Llanbedr. [Down 1980: 39]
During 1915 and 1916 two or three men were employed at various times on surface workings with some ore being removed. The ore was described as being “above the average quality of the district”. However, the exposed bed was thin and lying flat with a heavy covering of arenacious grit. [GAS CAO: XD/35/424 p. 127]
